extinct native animal to New Zealand report writing

last week and this week we have not been doing report writing on extinct native animals to New Zealand me and my friend did the laughing owl which was last seen in 1914 read down below for more information if you have any information that I do not have please comment.


Laughing Owl

Classification
Laughing owls belong to the sceloglaux family. (Could not find anymore information)

Description
The Laughing owl was last seen and 1914 European settlers arrived in New Zealand and published a description book in 1845. The size of the laughing owl is two more pork which is 58 cm tall with big black eyes and dark brown and bus yellow feathers.


Habitat
Laughing owls live in open country and forested areas.They roosted in caves and fissures in rock face sand on rock ledges. 




Dynamic fact
It has a reddish brown plumage streaked with a darker brown color and with a white face


Threats
Dogs cats and rats are the threats to laughing owls predators 



Diet
Laughing owls feed on lizards
